To draw lines:
-
Click the Line tool on the Toolbar. If you do not see the tool, click and hold the Unfilled Shapes tool that is currently visible, and select the Line tool from the flyout displayed.

Move the mouse to the starting location of the line, and click and hold the left mouse button.

Drag the mouse to the line's ending location, and release the mouse button. The line is anchored.
Note: Press and hold the [Shift] key to snap lines to increments of 45 degrees.
Note: Press the [Esc] key at any time, but before the line is anchored, to abort the operation.
Note: Click the Undo tool on the Command Bar if you wish to erase the line(s) and begin again.
Use the left mouse button to draw lines in the active Paint color; use the right mouse button to draw lines in the active Fill color. The active Paint and Fill colors are illustrated below in the Settings area. For more information, see Paint Tools.
Adjust the thickness of the line with the Brush Preview located in the Settings area at the bottom of your screen. Click the [Up] and [Down] arrows to adjust the size of the brush. Click the Brush Preview box to choose another brush type. For more information, see Paint Tools.

To draw unfilled ellipses and circles:

Click the Unfilled Ellipse tool on the Toolbar. If you do not see the tool, click and hold the Unfilled Shapes tool that is currently visible, and select the Unfilled Ellipse tool from the flyout displayed.

Draw the shape.
To draw an ellipse:

Click and hold the left mouse button at one imaginary "corner" of the ellipse you wish to draw.

Drag the mouse to its diagonally opposite "corner".
Note: Press and hold the [Ctrl] key as you drag the mouse to draw an ellipse from its origin instead of from corner to corner.
Note: Press the [Esc] key at any time, but before the ellipse is anchored, to abort the operation.

Release the mouse button to anchor the ellipse.
Note: Click the Undo tool on the Command Bar if you wish to erase the ellipse and begin again.
To draw a circle:

Click and hold the left mouse button at one imaginary "corner" of the circle you wish to draw.

Press and hold the [Shift] key.

Drag the mouse to the diagonally opposite "corner".
Note: Press and hold the [Ctrl] key as you drag the mouse to draw a circle from its origin instead of from corner to corner.

To draw unfilled polygons and freehand shapes:

Click the Unfilled Freehand Shape tool on the Toolbar. If you do not see the tool, click and hold the Unfilled Shapes tool that is currently visible, and select the Unfilled Freehand Shape tool from the flyout displayed.
To draw a polygon:
-
Move the mouse, and click at locations to define the endpoints of each line segment comprising the polygon.

Double-click the mouse at the last endpoint to close the shape.
Note: Press and hold the [Shift] key to constrain the line segments to increments of 45 degrees.
Note: Press the [Backspace] key to backup the operation one line segment at a time. Press the [Esc] key at any time, but before the polygon is anchored, to abort the operation entirely.
Note: Click the Undo tool on the Command Bar if you wish to erase the polygon and begin again.
To draw a freehand shape, or smooth polyline:

Press and hold the left mouse button, and drag the mouse to define the shape.
Note: Press and hold the [Shift] key to constrain mouse movement to one direction only.
Note: Press the [Backspace] key to backup the operation one line segment at a time. Press the [Esc] key at any time, but before the shape is anchored, to abort the operation entirely.

Double-click the mouse to close and anchor the shape.
Note: Click the Undo tool on the Command Bar if you wish to erase the shape and begin again.
